Brewmetrix’s is actively exploring ways to combine spectral signatures in the visible UV to near infrared spectrum with artificial intelligence to identify complex chemicals and analytes.  Users will be able to measure, track and improve whatever it is that they are making or following in just about any setting; that is, from manufacturing plants to household kitchens.  For a brewery, the company has successfully identified alcohol, original and apparent extract, IBU (international bitterness units) , free amino nitrogen (FAN) and yeast viability with one light source and a laptop.
